- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 2 cups cabbage, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10–15 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together remaining ingredients in a bowl.
- In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, melt butter and cook marinated chicken until golden brown (4–5 minutes). Set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot; stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes to combine flavors.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
