- 4 cups (500g) bread flour or all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (7g) active dry yeast or instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons (10g) salt
- 1 3/4 cups (415ml) warm water
- 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in flour and salt until combined. Knead dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm area for 90 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough and transfer to an oiled baking sheet; shape into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Create dimples on the surface, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with coarse sea salt and rosemary.
