  • 2 medium onions (sliced)
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 green hot chili pepper (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions thinly and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, cumin, salt, turmeric, water, lime juice, and chili pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Fold in the sliced onions until coated evenly.
  4. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
