  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ⅔ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16 oz spaghetti (1 pound)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, cabbage, and carrots; sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, ground mustard, ginger, and garlic powder; mix well.
  3. Add spaghetti (you can break it in half) and pour in water. Cook uncovered for 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Once cooked through, remove from heat and toss in sesame seeds before serving.
