  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • For Frosting: ½ cup unsalted butter, confectioners' sugar, kosher salt, caramel topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until blended. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Stir in mashed bananas.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour and salt together. Gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. While cooling, prepare the frosting by mixing room-temperature butter with confectioners' sugar and salt, then drizzle in caramel topping until smooth.
