Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups cooked long grain white rice
Instructions
- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
- In the same pot, add olive oil and sauté diced onions and chopped bell peppers until soft (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
