- 1 cup salted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until well combined.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 1 minute).
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are just beginning to turn golden brown. The centers will still look slightly underbaked.
Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
