Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until well combined.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 1 minute).
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are just beginning to turn golden brown. The centers will still look slightly underbaked.
  • Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
