Ingredients

For the Egg Mixture:

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices white bread cut into thirds

Instructions

For Cooking:

  • Nonstick spray
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
  • ½ cup white granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Egg Mixture:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, powdered sugar, milk, maple syrup, and cinnamon until smooth.

Cut and Dip:

  • Slice each piece of bread into thirds to form sticks. Dip each stick into the egg mixture, coating all sides evenly.

Mix Cinnamon Sugar:

  • In a small plate or shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the coating.

Cook the Sticks:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and coat it with nonstick spray. Add the dipped bread sticks in batches and cook for about 1–2 minutes per side, turning until golden brown on all sides.

Coat in Cinnamon Sugar:

  • Immediately remove the sticks from the skillet and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while still warm.

Serve:

  • Serve warm with extra maple syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit, if desired.

Notes

Use day-old or slightly dry bread for better texture and crispiness.
Cook in batches to prevent overcrowding the skillet.
Freeze leftovers and reheat in the oven or toaster for a quick breakfast.
