- 1 pound large fresh strawberries tops cut off
- 24 Double Stuf Oreo cookies
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 12 ounces chocolate candy melts such as Ghirardelli
- Chocolate sprinkles or crushed Oreo cookies optional, for garnish
Slice the tops off the strawberries in a straight cut and hollow out the center of each berry using a melon baller or strawberry huller. Pat them dry and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
In a food processor, blend the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Add the cream cheese and pulse until the mixture becomes smooth and holds together.
Scoop small amounts (about 2 teaspoons or ½ tablespoon) of the Oreo mixture and roll into balls. Press one truffle ball into the hollowed center of each strawberry, making sure it is level with the top.
Melt the chocolate candy melts according to package instructions. Dip the tops of each filled strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
Immediately sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles or crushed Oreo crumbs, if desired.
Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
For best texture and freshness, serve the same day.
